About the Department

The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad is one of the busiest departments in Montgomery County. The Rescue Squad responds to approximately 30 calls per day. The runs include house fires, auto accidents, BLS and ALS. All training is provided free of charge. Each shift is 12 hours per day ( 7pm til 7am).

Members must stand 1 shift per week. There is plenty of in-house training which is provided on a daily basis. Our fleet includes 7 ambulance/medic units, 2 heavy rescue squads, and various command and utility vehicles.
